How can I help?

The basin is defended by people — forest communities, Indigenous federations, journalists, and scientists. The most effective thing you can do from anywhere is fund and amplify them.

Support frontline organizations

Use the data

Everything this tracker shows comes from open sources — cite them, build on them, keep them funded. Researchers and journalists can pull the same feeds from Global Forest Watch, INPE, and NASA FIRMS. Public attention measurably changes enforcement — deforestation spikes when nobody is watching.

Consume deliberately

The largest deforestation drivers are cattle, soy, gold, and timber. Favor certified or deforestation-free supply chains where they exist, and be loudest about gold — illegal mining is the fastest-growing pressure on Indigenous territories in this data.
